為改善導管不相容及無法精準進行水平校正的臨床問題，奇美醫學中心護理部與東台精機股份有限公司於2021年11月合作開發「全方位導管零點偵測儀」，這項開發是輔助醫療決策上相當重要的一把鑰匙。

39歲張先生，傍晚下班返家途中發生嚴重車禍，頭部與胸部遭受猛烈撞擊，消防員緊急救援送至奇美醫學中心急診室，電腦斷層檢查診斷顱內出血、肋骨骨折併心臟挫傷，緊急開顱手術後住進外科加護病房照護治療，手術後放置腦室外引流管連接顱內壓監測器、測量血壓的動脈導管及監測中心靜脈壓等導管裝置，持續監控病人生命徵象重要數值變化。
奇美醫學中心護理部3B(心臟血管外科)加護病房護理團隊妥善照護著張先生，監測儀器螢幕上顯示生命儀表板上數值反應變化浮動，正處於腦灌流壓不足、低血壓休克、低心輸出量及體液容積不足等危及生命的處境，因此精確地監測血液動力學之各類數據，有效率地回饋醫師有問題的數據，將直接影響醫師的判斷與治療處置及病人生命安全。
