台南市民政局輔導鹽水武廟及西羅殿建置英語友善環境

素有文化古都之稱的台南，轄內蘊藏多元的宗教文化，毎年吸引許多外籍遊客到訪，對於想深入了解寺廟文化之外籍遊客而言，藉由雙語寺廟建置可以提高民眾接觸英語的環境，並吸引國際觀光客前來體驗臺灣宗教文化。
市長黃偉哲表示，台南做為眾神之都，又是一個國際化的都市，外國觀光客到台南幾乎都會到寺廟參觀，英語友善寺廟其實就是做好國民外交的表現。如果國際觀光客知道台南的寺廟可以提供雙語的服務，一定更樂意前來。基於多元文化交流，民政局自106年起積極輔導及推動寺廟建置中英雙語環境，力求展現文化特色與促進宗教觀光，有效提升台南市宗教文化的深度、廣度及能見度，並受理各宗教團體申請英語友善標章認證，積極鼓勵更多寺廟建置雙語環境服務。
台南市積極推動雙語寺廟建置。
民政局111年度輔導計畫的寺廟有鹽水區武廟、中西區西羅殿及安南區香光聖堂，其中鹽水區武廟、中西區西羅殿業已完成該廟宇的中、英、日語廟宇歷史簡介及參拜流程等雙語建置；而安南區的香光聖堂亦翻譯適用該寺廟之籤詩，共翻譯成中、英、日3種語言版本，同時，民政局也協助該寺廟翻譯道教特有的「早午晚獻香禮節」，讓民眾能更深入體會道教禮俗文化，促進台南市的宗教觀光。
民政局長姜淋煌表示，為了讓國際友人也能輕鬆體驗，民政局將持續推動英語友善寺廟環境建置，目前台南市獲得英語友善標章環境的寺廟計有26家，其中有15家寺廟已完成設置雙語籤詩，讓外國遊客也能看懂籤詩，歡迎外籍朋友前往參拜時可以多加使用，了解各家寺廟的文化。
