上週六(5/6)，英超聯賽曼城對決里茲聯的比賽中，曼城雖順利以2:1取勝，持續領跑英超。但在比賽第54分鐘，剛剛傷癒歸隊的後衛 Nathan Aké因腿部不適而被換下，隨即前往休息室治療，由Kyle Walker登板頂替。台灣時間本週三(5/8)凌晨三點，曼城將作客皇家馬德里主場進行歐冠四強首戰。目前還沒有Nathan Aké傷勢的最新消息，他是否能在這場關鍵戰役中出賽仍是未知。
5/4(四)曼城面對西漢姆聯的比賽中， Nathan Aké傷癒歸隊擔任先發，並攻進首顆入球，幫助球隊3:0擊敗對手。在此之前，Nathan Aké因為腿部的傷勢缺席了包含對戰兵工廠在內的三場比賽。
來到曼城的前兩個賽季， Nathan Aké總共只踢了40場比賽，其中19場先發。本賽季他成為了球隊主力，可以擔任左後衛以及中後衛。今年一月，曼城將左後衛Joao Cancelo租借至拜仁慕尼黑後， Nathan Aké扛下了這個位置。Nathan Aké本季出賽38場比賽，25場聯賽先發，歐冠賽場則是6次先發，是曼城重要的後場戰力。
若Nathan Aké無法上場，曼城可能會將Akanji 調至左後衛，擺上Kyle Walker擔任右後衛。
