昨(14)日，女足足總盃決賽在溫布利球場熱烈展開，由目前聯賽排名第一的曼聯對上切爾西。這場比賽創造了許多英國女足比賽的「第一次」 ，足總盃決賽第一次在溫布利球場完售、曼聯第一次打進決賽、首次在英國女足比賽中使用影像輔助裁判(VAR)以及球門線技術。另外，77390名觀眾更創下女足國內比賽的最高紀錄。女足觀眾的最高紀錄則是去年三月皇家馬德里對決巴塞隆納的歐冠比賽，共有91553名觀眾。
開場不到一分鐘，VAR就發揮作用。曼聯Leah Galton的進球遭VAR判定傳球者Ella Toone已經越位在先。上半場，曼聯控制住局勢，不斷創造進攻機會。第32分鐘，切爾西無法解圍落在禁區的自由球，曼聯Millie Turner 起腳射門被Berger單手撲出。第40分鐘，切爾西 Lauren James 一記角度刁鑽的頭槌被曼聯門將Mary Earps撲出。下半場第68分鐘，剛換上來的Pernille Harder 馬上建功，他在右邊路接到Reiten直塞球後， 一記巧妙的傳中球找到Sam Kerr，Kerr射門破網，切爾西取得1:0領先。Sam Kerr進球後開心地用側翻以及後空翻慶祝，他連續三場足總盃比賽都有進球。下半場傷停補時，曼聯在禁區內獲得機會，但射門仍遭切爾西球員驚險清出。終場。切爾西就以1:0擊敗曼聯斬獲足總盃三連霸。
