Terrace Marshall Jr.上個賽季的進步有目共睹（圖＿ Carolina Panthers）。
卡羅萊納黑豹隊的外接手Terrace Marshall Jr.即將邁入第三個職業賽季，作為當屆選秀會上前十大外接員的他在2020第二輪第27順位被黑豹隊選入。首個賽季因為傷病以及教練調度的關係，表現略顯掙扎，出賽13場僅僅完成17次接球，推進138碼。直到去年十月，黑豹隊前任總教練Matt Rhule下台後， 他的上場時間逐漸增加。賽季最後12週，Marshall Jr.平均每次接球的推進碼數來到19.2 碼，高居聯盟第一。Marshall Jr.整季完成28次接球，其中24次是第一檔接球，推進碼數460碼並完成生涯首次達陣。記者Joseph Person將Marshall Jr.列為上個賽季黑豹隊表現前十的球員之一。
新賽季，黑豹隊迎來新的教練團、狀元四分衛Bryce Young，並簽下了Adam Thielen、DJ Chark和Damiere Byrd三名外接員，加上第二輪選進的潛力新秀Jonathan Mingo ，陣容深度足且充滿天賦。Marshall Jr.的首要目標是獲得穩定的上場時間並做出貢獻。
今年一月上任的總教練Frank Reich表示：「 去年我們見識到了了他的能力以及技巧，我相信只要給他足夠的時間，他一定可以繳出穩定的表現 。 」 接球教練Shawn Jefferson也對Marshall Jr. 讚譽有加：「 他是一名技術相當優秀的外接員，我很高興能夠指導他，非常期待他未來的發展。」
休賽期期間，Marshall Jr.和知名訓練師Mo Wells一同訓練（圖＿截自ig @moknowz）。
休賽季期間，Marshall Jr.找了Mo Wells一同訓練，希望能增加他的小腿肌肉。Mo Wells曾經協助訓練猛虎隊的外接員Tee Higgins以及NBA曼菲斯灰熊隊的後衛Ja Morat訓練。
談到新賽季的目標，Marshall Jr.表示：「我不想給出我無法達成的目標，因為我並不完美。我只能告訴你我會好好把握機會，幫助球隊奪下超級盃。」
