2023台南國際龍舟錦標賽將於6月18日到6月22日正式登場
端午節即將到來，經歷3年的疫情，臺南市停辦二年的國際龍舟錦標賽今年終於恢復舉行了。2023台南國際龍舟錦標賽將於6月18日到6月22日正式登場，今（9）日在安平開台天后宮舉行龍舟開光點睛暨感謝天后宮捐贈救生衣典禮。由市長黃偉哲擔任主祭官，並由市議員蔡淑惠、盧崑福、林美燕、李啟維、周麗津、林依婷、王家貞及開台天后宮主委盧友禮、安平觀音亭主委嚴東賢、體育總會理事長吳志祥與體育局長陳良乾、民政局長姜淋煌等人擔任陪祭官，逐一為龍舟開光點睛，祈求神龍有靈，保佑今年參賽選手平安完成競賽，也向媽祖祈求今年活動一切圓滿順利。
今（9）日在台南安平開台天后宮舉行龍舟開光點睛暨感謝天后宮捐贈救生衣典禮
黃偉哲表示，台南龍舟賽每年都吸引來自北中南的朋友前來觀賽，可說是熱鬧非凡，來台南不僅看比賽，還可以順便到附近逛景點吃美食，可謂一舉數得。受到疫情影響，連續二年停辦的台南市國際龍舟錦標賽，很高興今年終於能恢復舉行，相信一定會吸引很多市民朋友及觀光客一同參與，也祈求媽祖保祐賽事順利，大家平安過端午。
市長黃偉哲為龍舟開光點睛
2010年舉辦龍舟賽時，安平開台天后宮注意到選手參賽使用的救生衣，多已老舊破損，所以決定購買110件全新救生衣贈送台南市政府，以增加選手比賽時安全性及穿著舒適度。但受到停辦賽事影響，這批新救生衣一直沒機會使用，今年台南市國際龍舟錦標賽盛大回歸，這批新救生衣也將派上用場。今日在龍舟點睛儀式見證下，黃偉哲也頒發感謝狀，感謝安平開台天后宮熱心之舉。
天后宮捐贈救生衣典禮
體育局長陳良乾指出，點睛儀式在各地龍舟賽中，均扮演很重要的精神安定力量。以台南為例，龍舟自6月3日起在安平開台天后宮廟埕置放一週，除了吸收天地靈氣外，也得到媽祖加持祝福，點睛儀式在道長引導下，為龍舟開光點睛，自此龍舟有靈，所以儀式結束後，即迅將龍舟移到安平運河下水，讓龍舟成為真正的水龍，承載選手競賽並保佑賽事平安順利。

今日點睛儀式結束後，即象徵2023台南國際龍舟錦標賽逐漸進入活動高潮，自6月10日起，即可看到各隊選手在安億橋至承天橋運河段練習，大家經過時別忘了對選手們加油打氣；6月18日將舉辦安排盛大的龍舟賽開幕式，要讓今年參加的觀眾有一個驚豔的端午夏夜。
