在追求科技與綠色能源融合的時代，大立晶材股份有限公司於南部科學園區高雄園區二期廠房隆重開幕。該公司主攻面板液晶材料、膽固醇液晶節能材料、配向膜材料等前沿技術，不僅推動本土化，更著重於提供快速而多元的解決方案，旨在成為台灣顯示器材料產業的領航者，為業界帶來更多的匹配性選擇與即時的優質服務。

大立晶材位於路科二路59號的五樓設有先進生產基地，佔地約1,000平方公尺。其中，ISO 5和ISO 6級無塵室廠房占總面積的三分之一，可產出每月約2噸的液晶。為保障研發與分析工作，特別設有2間研發實驗室和1間品保儀分室。透過精實管理與經濟流程設計，確保原材料的迅速流動與儲存，以提升產品品質並有效縮短生產時間。

大立晶材總經理洪秀惠表示，公司不僅停留在傳統液晶材料的生產，為響應全球節能和環保趨勢，已主動進行膽固醇液晶的研發。膽固醇液晶獨特之處在於其能夠反射不同波段的彩光，不需要背光源即可顯示，僅依靠環境光源反射，減少對眼睛的傷害。更值得一提的是，該材料具有雙穩態特性，即使不耗電，仍能維持其顯示內容，如同紙上的印象。這使得膽固醇液晶不僅能達到護眼，更具有出色的節能效果。
