屏東縣麟洛鄉一位葉姓老婦人，於今年2月多往生，但葉姓老婦人女兒疑似捨不得老母親離開，不願將其下葬，一直讓媽媽躺在家中躺椅上，朝夕相伴，宛如母親還在世，直到鄰居發現葉姓老婦人久未露面，察覺有異報警，警方前往調查才發現這起伴屍案。

屏東葉老婦人疑似於家中死亡許久案，經警方聯繫老婦人居住於外地之次子入內查看，發現老婦人已於家中房內死亡已久，經警方了解該老婦人於今年初即因疾病就醫因彌留狀態由醫院載回家中，惟因同住家屬疑似無法接受老婦人已往生之事實，故未將老婦人辦理後事，大體因而放置家中房內躺椅至今。
警方依規定製作家屬筆錄後報請檢察官相驗，相驗結果為疾病死亡。
村里間對葉老婦人的生死早已議論紛紛，只是不得其門而入，此時老婦的死訊曝光，街坊鄰居對此不感意外。
