屏東警分局崇蘭派出所警員簡孝賢、楊奕軒於春節期間擔服巡邏勤務，在寒冷的天氣，見一女子於車來車往的道路上推著機車，且車上坐著一名男童，員警擔心女子於道路上推車易生危險，遂主動將女子引導至路旁關心，經詢問得知該名女子搭載2歲幼童看病結束後，發動機車行駛不到10公尺突熄火，當下才驚覺係因機車顯示器故障而不知機車已沒油，故獨自一人牽著機車尋找加油站；簡、楊二員了解後，立即駕駛巡邏車並攜帶空罐，搭載女子前往鄰近加油站買油，返回將油倒入油箱後順利將機車發動，女子對於警方的主動協助相當感激，更表示兒子因看完卡通「波力」就喜歡上警察，經歷此事後兒子對警察更加充滿崇拜感，並歡欣地邀請員警合影！
