當地官員馬雅（Carlos Maya）說：「我們統計已有14人因土石流死亡，34人受傷。」
哥倫比亞國家災害風險管理局（National Unit forDisaster Risk Management）說，救援隊伍在泥土中挖掘，尋找倖存者。
42歲的計程車司機耶南德茲（Dubernei Hernandez）告訴法新社：「一聲巨響把我們們嚇壞了。我們走出去，看到山的一部分就在房子上面。」「我走到那個地方，那是一場災難，人們被困在那裏。」耶南德茲說，他幫忙挖出兩具屍體和一名倖存者。他說，至少有5棟房屋被泥土掩埋。
