出租套房火災-警方18小時速逮犯嫌究辦
台中市中區興中街（6）日發生大火事件，市府警察局刑警大隊會同第一分局立即報請檢察官指揮，成立專案小組，案發18小時內速逮嫌犯，認定鄭姓嫌疑人涉嫌重大，昨日10時報請檢察官核發拘票拘提鄭嫌到案，突破犯嫌心防，鄭嫌坦承犯行，全案從嚴究辦，已移送檢方偵辦中。
警察局（7）日下午召開記者會，由警察局副局長鄧學鑫說明興中街93號火警案。鄧副局長表示，中市興中街一處棟集合式住宅大樓昨日16時31分發生火災，警察局蔡蒼柏局長立即率同警力前往處理，並執行交通管制疏導，該大樓起火後火苗不斷延燒，多人逃難不及造成傷亡，經中市上百名警消全力搶救滅火，火警仍造成6死6傷不幸結果。
鄧副局長指出，案後警察局刑警大隊會同第一分局立即報請檢察官指揮，成立專案小組，抽絲剝繭，認定鄭姓嫌疑人涉嫌重大，於昨日10時報請檢察官核發拘票拘提鄭嫌到案，突破犯嫌心防，鄭嫌坦承犯行。鄭嫌為該大樓租客，與莊姓屋主素有租屋糾紛，近日屋主要求鄭嫌另租他處，昨日鄭嫌挾怨縱火，終造成難以挽回結果。全案將涉案人鄭姓男子及莊姓屋主依涉嫌公共危險罪從嚴究辦。
警察局表示，水火無情，民眾切勿以身試法，造成不可挽回的後果，警方對於不法行為絕不寬待，必將不法分子依法嚴辦，維護市民生命財產安全。
