東港地區1名7旬李姓老翁於網路上認識1名自稱受聯合國聘任於烏克蘭行醫之主治醫師，因烏、俄近期爆發戰爭，欲包機前來臺灣避難，遂向該名老翁商借9萬美元使其可以包機來臺，並佯稱詐騙帳戶為聯合國專戶要求老翁匯入款項，李姓老翁為協助網友撤退並見網友一面遂前往本轄臺灣銀行匯款，銀行行員發覺有異立即通知東港警分局員警到場，並經由警方及銀行通力合作及攔阻下，最終保住老翁積蓄。
冷血詐騙集團為牟取不法暴利，不惜消費烏、俄戰爭百姓之苦，所幸熱血東港警及金融機構積極攔阻下最終揭穿詐騙集團騙局並保住百姓積蓄。

東港分局分局長張世儒呼籲，詐騙手法眾多，民眾如遇可疑情事，務必撥打「165」反詐騙諮詢專線，或「110」報案專線諮詢，以免遭詐，另東港警也會持續與轄內金融機構及超商共同建構防詐網絡，以保百姓身家安全。
