台南市西港區今天清晨發生一起自撞車禍，謝男、林女2人是國中同學，他們共乘機車行經南寶樹脂工廠前路段時，疑似是過於疲勞、又沒注意路況，車子竟然就往分隔島「犁」過去、把護欄當軌道滑行，最後重擊路口電桿，謝男直接「掛」在分隔島、林女重摔落地，機車還向前噴飛30公尺，碎裂扭曲變形，警消到場時兩人都無生命跡象，送醫急救仍不治，詳細肇事原因有待警方調查釐清。

台南市消防局在清晨5時45分接獲報案，西港區台19線南寶樹脂工廠前發生機車自撞分隔島意外，駕駛、乘客倒地昏迷。
消防局緊急派遣西港、安定共3車6人前往救援，到場時現場留有大量血跡，2人都已OHCA，其中，年約20歲的男性騎士全身多處骨折變形，送往佳里奇美醫院急救，後座女性乘客左大腿骨折，後腦大量出血，送往安南醫院急救，但最後均宣告不治。
據了解，20歲的謝男是職業軍人、19歲的林女是高三生，2人感情不錯，他們老家在台南將軍，從車輛行駛方向判斷，2人可能是在回家的路上發生意外，但家人製作筆錄時，對2人行蹤卻不甚了解，目前警方仍在調查中，以釐清這場慘劇發生的原因。
