屏東及高雄兩地近來發生多起破壞機車置物箱竊取置物箱內財物案，警方成立專案小組調閱周邊監視器，鎖定唐姓男子涉有重嫌，經多日埋伏昨日下午於枋寮鄉發現唐嫌駕駛作案車輛，警方一路尾隨至高雄將他逮捕到案。
東港分局轄區5月初發生多起破壞機車置物箱偷竊案，警方於受理後非常重視，立即成立專案小組，積極偵辦，調閱周邊監視器，沿線勘察蒐證與過濾可疑人車後鎖定犯嫌，經多日埋伏於5月16日17時30分在枋寮鄉發現唐嫌駕駛作案車輛，由於正值下班時間，專案人員為避免危害其他用路人，不敢貿然攔車，一路尾隨至高雄市岡山區岡山路趁唐嫌下車時執行拘提，當場查獲唐嫌持有安非他命毒品吸食器一組、安非它命2包（重量1.16公克），員警立即帶案偵辦。

屏東縣縣長潘孟安非常重視近來發生在縣內多個鄉鎮的機車置物箱竊案，屏東縣警察局長劉印宮因而責成各分局盤點轄內所發生竊案，分享情資並橫向聯繫高雄市警局，經鎖定唐嫌（64年次)所使用之車輛自小客涉嫌高雄、屏東多起竊案，於16日專案小組發現唐嫌人車在枋寮鄉出現，遂一路尾隨至上述地點，待唐嫌下車後，持屏東地檢署核發之拘票上前逮捕。經帶回唐嫌清查涉及案件數計有，屏東地區：東港鎮5件、崁頂鄉3件、新園鄉1件、萬丹鄉1件、枋寮鄉1件，另高雄市林園區2件、路竹區3件，總計16件機車車廂內財物竊案，全案經偵訊後依毒品危害防治條例及竊盜罪移送屏東地檢署偵辦。

東港警分局表示，受理民眾報案並不分大小案，呼籲民眾平日對自己個人財物要保管好，機車置物箱內切勿放置過於貴重的物品，車輛停放好也要把鑰匙收好、鎖上置物箱，如發現不法立即報案，警方絕不容許宵小竊取民眾財物，只要危害治安，都會鍥而不捨追查，守護民眾生命、財產安全，以展現警方維護社會治安決心，讓全民安居樂業。
