本國籍「輕○」遊艇(下稱「輕」船)船上搭載 2 名船員及 13 名遊客共 15 人，於 111 年 6 月 5 日上午 7 時 40 分出後壁湖港，預 計前往船帆石附近從事海域遊憩活動，不料抵達船帆石海域後因船 艇故障失去動力於海上漂流，船長立即撥打 118 報案專線，請求海 巡署救援。

海巡署第八巡防區指揮部緊急啟動岸海聯合搜救機制，並結合 「威鯨救難協會」以公私協力方式同步進行海陸救援，由威鯨救難 協會先行出動「水上摩托艇」接駁 13 名遊客至岸上，海上同步派遣 恆春海巡隊 PP-3576 及 PP-3550 巡防艇緊急馳赴救援，並在上午 10 時 15 分許抵達現場;經艇長現場判斷海象(西南風 4 至 5 級、陣風 7 級，且西南湧強勁)不佳，恐有向岸漂流擱淺危機，經取得船長 同意後，採 3550 艇進行拖帶、3576 艇在旁戒護之雙艇救援方式， 於 12 時許成功拖帶進入後壁湖港，人員均安，救助任務圓滿完成。
近期正值雷雨區籠罩恆春半島且海面西南湧強勁時節，遊艇本 次故障係因船上抽水泵故障造成機艙進水，導致引擎無法發動而失 去動力，且無法立即排除;船員及遊客均非常感謝海巡人員及威鯨 救難協會於第一時間前來救助，化解一場危機。
恆春海巡隊表示:海巡署面對海上急難救助案件，秉持「時間 即生命、速度即希望」之宗旨，呼籲各類船舶出港前應做好各項航 前檢查，平時亦應加強機械維保、隨時注意海象變化，以防範意外 發生，海上遇緊急事故須救援，請撥打「118」海巡服務專線，海巡 永遠在海防第一線保護您。
