一名男子騎自行車載著7歲女兒到嘉義市遊玩，行經垂楊路與民生北路口時，女兒不慎腳卡到自行車車鏈受傷，父女坐在路邊等待救援，附近2名牙科診所護理人員見狀，穿著醫護隔離衣前來協助，待消防救護人員到場，交由救護人員處理、送醫。
嘉義市消防局指出，昨晚8點57分接獲報案，指稱垂楊與民生北路口有事故發生，現場有民眾受傷急需救援，立即派遣第二消防大隊第二分隊救護車前往救援。
救護人員到達現場時發現有2名身著醫護隔離衣的人員，經詢問為旁邊的牙科診所護理人員，得知有幼童受傷後即刻發揮愛心前來協助包紮及安撫女童。
經詢問現場為從台中來嘉義玩的父親騎腳踏車載女童外出，騎行中女童不知何原因，腳接觸到腳踏車的絞鍊而受傷紅腫流血，父親報案並陪女童坐在人行道旁等待救援，救護人員立即上前傷者狀況，經評估傷勢為左腳踝有較大面積瘀青與2公分左右撕裂傷，傷者意識清楚，給予清洗傷口、包紮止血，傷者上車後送醫院醫治。
