學甲區一名47歲沈姓男子毒癮犯了，光天花日就在家裡施打毒品，沒想到警方執行巡邏勤務，因有案件需要找沈男釐清，順道上門拜訪，正好撞見沈男正準備打海洛因，警問「你在做啥！」讓他呆立當場，都還沒來得及用就人贓俱獲，警方將他帶回警局訊問，並依毒品危害防制條送辦。

學甲警分局學甲派出所副所長莊朝河、警員吳世祥昨（10）日下午4時執行巡邏勤務，經過沈男住處時，想到有案件與沈男有關，就順道入內準備詢問，沈男家住老舊平房，白天門戶洞開，一眼就能看穿在幹嘛，沒想到警方就看到沈男手持針筒，一副準備打針的模樣，依照執法經驗與現場情狀，合理懷疑沈男有施用毒品嫌疑，即刻查察針筒並詢問針管內粉末為何物。

沈男被警方突然到訪弄到慌了手腳，只好乖乖就範，也告訴警方他正準備施打毒品，沒想到警察就來了，經帶返所後以毒品一、二級毒品檢驗試劑(海洛因及安非他命)，檢測尿液及針管內粉末，均呈陽性反應，經調查後將沈嫌送辦。
學甲警分局長蔡宗昌表示，毒品戕害民眾身體健康甚鉅，民眾常因好奇嘗試毒品，忽略毒品高成癮性，導致終身遺憾，學甲警分局將全力掃蕩毒品，持續淨化社會風氣。
