憂唐氏症弟走失急求援 巡邏警及時尋獲

報案人聲稱其弟弟患有唐氏症，在住家附近走失內埔分局巡邏警網積極協助找尋，大約一小時即在勝利路段尋獲。圖_內埔警分局提供
內埔派出所員警日前接獲民眾電話報案，報案人聲稱其弟弟患有唐氏症，在住家附近走失，因生活無法自理，可以聽出非常擔心他的安危，警方詢問報案人弟弟的相關特徵，並利用內埔分局巡邏警網積極協助找尋，大約一小時即在勝利路段尋獲，家屬對於警方的即時援助感謝萬分。
經警方了解，報案人的弟弟欠缺表達能力，無法與外界交流，需要家人照顧生活起居，對於弟弟不告外出非常擔憂，故致電委託警方協尋，員警在轄區反覆穿梭尋查，終於在路上發現走失的弟弟，確認其身分後立即通知家屬，並安全護送弟弟到家。
內埔警分局長莊順智對於同仁積極認真的服務精神表示讚許，也在此呼籲民眾，家中如有需要特別照護的患病家屬，應隨時注意其動態，也可利用屏東縣政府衛生局所製發的「愛心手環」協助瞭解其位置，如有發生家屬走失時，可立即向警方報案協尋，確保家人的安全以免發生危害。
