嘉義縣警察局與縣內各金融機構、超商在今年7、8月期間共同聯手合作攔阻詐騙集團誆騙民眾假投資、假交友、假購物等匯(領)款達25件，成功守護民眾財產達新臺幣1200餘萬元；警察局長陳明君26日在縣府治安會報中公開表揚，共有郵局、農會等金融機構及超商員工等10人受獎。

嘉義縣警察局十分重視人民生命、財產安全，為能有效攔阻詐騙集團誆騙民眾匯(領)款，警方利用各活動場合進行反詐騙宣導，並結合金融機構、超商，於出入口顯眼處張貼新興高發詐騙手法海報及設立人形立牌。
本次表揚案件中，太保南新郵局行員成功攔阻假投資詐財案，詐騙集團要求民眾以匯款方式支付貨款3萬元，因該民眾已有多次遭詐騙之情形，行員立即通報水上分局員警到場協助。經員警深入查證，發現該帳戶已遭165通報詐騙數次，員警隨即向民眾解釋該帳戶之實際狀況，民眾才驚覺受騙，當下取消匯款，及時成功攔阻民眾免於受騙。
打擊詐欺犯罪是當前治安重點項目，內政部警政署推出「精進宣導123 2.0」策略，將防詐宣導能量提升至更高層次，發揮更有力的識詐強度，嘉義縣政府為落實打詐目標，整合警察局、教育處、經發處、勞青處、民政處、農業處、建設處、公車處、社會局、衛生局、消防局、環保局及文化觀光局等單位，成立「嘉義打詐隊」，期望透過多元管道，統合運用資源，強化宣導防詐資訊，有效守護民眾財產安全。
