屏東警分局民和派出所於11月2日21時22分接獲報案，轄區市民代表候選人懸掛於民享一路段的3面競選旗幟遭人破壞，該分局依規定受理後，立即派員前往現場勘察，並研判犯嫌動線，經擴大調閱路口監視器影像，鎖定1名騎乘機車陳姓男子涉案，後續由該分局依法帶案，並移送屏東地檢署偵辦。

分局長黃國源表示，尊重民主價值，法治不容破壞，對於企圖干擾選舉情事，將加強查緝。也呼籲民眾切勿以身試法，隨意破壞競選旗幟或看板，除有可能觸犯刑法毀損罪外，也有可能違反公職人員選罷法第98條，可處5年以下有期徒刑。
