台南市警察局白河分局3日夜間執行「護果專案」，於東山區產業道路旁農地，當場查獲正下手行竊之杜姓竊嫌，並查扣所竊取之柳丁51斤及發還農地主人。
臺南市東山區自10月份起陸續有多位農民至白河分局報案，稱自己辛苦栽種之酪梨、柳丁等農產品於一夜之間遭竊，長期栽種的心血付之一炬。白河分局獲報後相當重視，立即要求轄區各派出所加強執行「護果專案」，提升山區果園、農場、農地巡邏密度，並由偵查隊及轄區派出所成立專案小組積極介入調查。因失竊處所均為地處偏遠之產業道路旁，無監視器畫面可佐證，惟專案小組鍥而不捨擴大調閱監視器影像及分析比對，最後發現杜姓民眾涉有重嫌。
當場逮捕杜嫌並查扣其所竊取之柳丁51斤
經專案小組分析杜嫌習性，研判應會再次犯案，惟其平常晝伏夜出，難以掌握行蹤，專案小組多次深夜埋伏均未能緝獲犯嫌。11月3日夜間，專案小組判斷杜嫌應會再次下手行竊，結合轄區派出所巡邏警力加強轄區巡守，最後在東山區產業道路旁之農地發現正在偷竊柳丁之杜姓竊嫌，當場逮捕並查扣其所竊取之柳丁51斤；另經擴大清查發現杜竊於近期涉及多起農作物竊盜案，共竊取酪梨約1200斤及柳丁2000斤，市價共約新臺幣10萬元，訊後依竊盜罪嫌移送臺南地檢署。相關被害人獲悉竊嫌遭逮捕，均相當感謝警方積極偵辦。
