奇美醫院2023失智症照護國際研討會-與日本、瑞典共享失智照護經驗！疫情遮蔽失智照護需求，接軌國際實踐樂智生活（圖＿奇美醫院提供）。
奇美醫療財團法人奇美醫院特別在前（22）日上午8點30分於奇美醫院第五醫療大樓五樓國際會議廳，舉辦「 2023年失智症照護國際研討會—與失智症共存，友善照護實踐」。以實體與視訊方式舉行，邀請國內外失智實務專家學者，分享失智照護防治、居家醫療、友善照護關係建立、共照整合服務與非藥物治療經驗。
研討會由奇美醫療財團法人奇美醫院院長暨社團法人台南市醫師公會副理事長林宏榮親自主持，並邀請臺南市政府衛生局局長蘇世斌、臺南市政府社會局局長盧禹璁及社團法人大臺南熱蘭遮失智症協會理事長白明奇等長官蒞臨指導，同時社團法人台灣失智症協會理事長徐文俊、長榮大學美術學系兼任副教授陳玫琦及日本名古屋醫療法人輝理事長市橋亮一、日本失智症Orange Door委員會代表丹野智文、World-Wide FINGERS (Finnish Geriatric Intervention Study to Prevent Cognitive Impairment and Disability)全球科學協調中心執行董事Francesca Mangialasche等國內外專家學者也共同與會分享。
熱蘭遮失智症協會理事長白明奇上台致詞（圖＿奇美醫院提供）。
近年因嚴重特殊傳染性肺炎(COVID-19)疫情嚴峻，影響失智照護服務提供，使得失智者與家庭改變原來生活模式。為避免感染而降低社交活動、減少認知刺激，衍生出照護問題與困境，希冀推動失智照護服務之際，從「心」關注失智症照護議題。整合並延展預防醫學、居家醫療、長照與社會資源服務，推動健康生活型態，提升對失智症的預防、降低罹患風險、提供認知促進與專業服務，使失智者與家庭享有尊嚴與安全感，乃至失智照護品質與友善服務之精進優化。
根據奇美醫療財團法人奇美醫院統計2019年(疫情前)失智症確診服務人數為740人，2020年至2022年(疫情期間)確診服務人數逐年遞減至413人，在疫情期間影響失智確診服務人數明顯下降。間接突顯出社區中潛在失智者未能早期發現確診獲得需要的照護資源與支持，甚至有加速失智症退化風險。現今疫情浪潮已漸退，因應失智症確診需求將成為失智防治的關鍵行動，應儘早積極主動發掘社區中潛在失智者。協助確診與連結照護資源，進而降低家庭照顧負荷並提升生活品質。

奇美醫學療財團法人奇美醫院院長林宏榮指出，隨著高齡與失智人口逐年攀升，失智症成為我國健康重要議題之一。奇美醫療財團法人奇美醫院配合國家失智症照護綱領與政策，積極倡議失智症照護防治與推廣「在地老化」與「友善社區」概念。成立失智共同照護中心推動失智症確診醫療照護與長照資源連結，亦致力於推動失智友善社區，辦理健康促進與防治衛教相關活動。提升民眾對失智預防正確健康識能及參與度，布建在地化的失智社區照護網絡，以達為失智者與家庭提供個別化、人性化之失智照護友善實踐目標。
本次2023年失智症照護國際研討會主軸為「與失智症共存－友善照護實踐」，奇美醫療財團法人奇美醫院院長林宏榮期許透過邀請失智照護領域專家經驗分享，全面探討失智照護多元新生活型態模式、挑戰與因應作法，包含預防策略作為、人才照護培育、創新生活照護方案，同時也借鏡日本、瑞典與臺灣的照護模式經驗，希冀建立失智照護整合與預防思維，從風險預防觀念、文化與制度等面向翻轉舊有生活型態與習慣，為失智照護領域開創新健康生活時代。
