雲林縣斗六市公所等單位昨(4)日封閉斗六市嘉新路舉辦賽車活動傳出意外，汽車衝入群眾造成6人受傷，雲林縣政府第一時間宣布活動即刻取消，縣長張麗善前往探視傷者外，今(5)日縣府依違反《工務法》第77條之1，以最高裁罰15萬元。 斗六首次舉辦賽車，場面盛況吸引上千民眾前往觀賞，昨日傍晚在嘉新路進行路進行賽車表演，一輛白色賽車起跑失控，瞬間揚起白煙後甩尾衝向人群，事發突然觀賽人群閃避推擠多人受傷，傷者為二女四男，共六名，吳姓孕婦（31歲）懷孕29周，初步診斷有胸悶、腹部疼痛與膝蓋擦傷，送往斗六台大醫院。

雲林縣政府指出，該活動已經即刻取消；縣府將先優先協助相關傷者，後續也將釐清相關責任，縣府指出，活動發生意外令人遺憾，縣長張麗善也於第一時間立即驅車前往探視。警方已經針對賽車失控衝撞路旁觀眾，將肇事選手、主辦單位相關人員進行偵訊調查，以釐清事故發生原因。
