隨著「民雄鬼屋」影片上映，嘉義縣民雄鄉成為今夏熱門旅遊景點，民雄地區交通四通八達可以旅遊及吃喝玩樂，知名景點如「民雄鬼屋」、「鵝肉一條街」、「新港奉天宮」、「大林國際慢城」及「幼稚鬼」民雄金桔觀光工廠、「豪酒鬼」台灣菸酒嘉義觀光酒廠等，嘉義縣警察局加強交通執法，提醒遊客來嘉旅遊，請用路人注意行車安全。

電影票房熱賣，帶動地方觀光人氣，嘉義縣警察局民雄分局除加強宣導「不超速、不逼車、不無照」外，111年8月份起主要執法項目為「酒駕」、「超速」、「惡意逼車」、「無照駕駛」等交通違規行為。其中「超速」部分，警方在易肇事路段，如「民雄鄉台一線與頭橋工業路口」、「民雄鄉台一線與埤角路口」、「民雄鄉164線與79線(福懋加油站)」、「民雄鄉106線(大學路)與正大路」、「大林鎮中正路與民生路(榮林陸橋)」、「大林鎮南華路(南華大學)」、「新港鄉159線與中洋路口」、「新港鄉164線與大潭路口」及「溪口鄉溪民路與成功路口」等處，機動執行交通稽查(測速照相)勤務，保護民眾行車安全。
