臺南市政府警察局第二分局於26日18時17分接獲110報案稱有民眾持五金器械於馬路旁擋住車輛通行不斷揮舞並破壞行徑路過的車輛，經員警到場後發現男子情緒不穩定，隨即將其強力壓制後送辦！

（26）日傍晚時分，有民眾報案稱一名男子手持五金器械在馬路上攔車揮舞，並破壞行徑的車輛，員警接獲報案迅速趕至現場，發現陳姓民眾（男、65歲、永康區人）酒後騎乘機車至國華街與民族路口，因精神及情緒不穩於路口喧鬧，並以螺絲起子、尖嘴鉗破壞路過之自小客車，造成車輛擋風玻璃、板金等損害。

一名員警現場以警棍喝斥轉移男子注意力，另一名員警乘機從陳男背後強力將其壓制在地逮捕，續經實施酒測值超過標準值(0.30毫克)。因陳民精神及情緒明顯有不穩定情形，經連絡家屬後並由員警先行戒護送醫診療後，全案依涉嫌毀損、妨害自由、公共危險等罪調查送辦。
