值得一提的是，在搜索時警方發現犯嫌郭姓男子一直昏睡且久叫不醒。進一步詢問邱姓友人後，得知兩人最近搬到安南區居住，但近期難以入眠，因此郭姓男子有服用安眠藥的習慣。為了確保安全，警方通知了急救中心（119）協助將犯嫌送醫就醫。
該案件在警方的詢問後，移請臺灣臺南地方檢察署進一步調查。警方將繼續追查槍枝的來源，以揭開更大的犯罪網絡。
第三分局分局長劉怡宗對於這起案件的成功逮捕表示讚揚。他強調，這是由於「社區警政再出發」宣導的效果，民眾對於治安問題的關注度大幅提升。這起案件是熱心民眾積極通報、警方全力查緝不法的最佳範例。他同時借此機會呼籲民眾，如遇到不法行為，應立即撥打110報案，警方將立即處置，確保社區的安全與治安。
